This paintings was my first huge piece using oil paint. And with my curiosity, I wanted to push the limits of oil paint--though being aware of its slow drying time--I explored its materiality and used a watercolor technique with it. I used multiple washy layers to build up my paintings. In addition, this painting also explores light and shadow revealing the orchids and photos--the natures--intrinsic beauty.
