                        About the Artwork

This work is part of a series entitled LIFE & FATE, inspired by Russian author Vasily Grossman. It is an epic tale of World War II and a profound reckoning with the dark forces that dominated human history. In this portrait painting, I try to catch the calm and perseverance when people face an uncertain future.
