As the theme of this exhibition is 'home', I chose to draw the typical gabled houses in Amsterdam, which you can see next to the canals. I always imagine how it was like, living there centuries ago. That's why I chose to compose it in black and white thread, spun from an old-fashioned sewing machine to give it a nostalgic twist.
