Mixed media using paper and straw for texture. I have used natural-indigo and man-made pigments. The multilayer design evokes harmony and peace. Inspired by the Cosmos and the milky way within it. The Cosmos is a global phenomenon which never seems to stop fascinating people because of the myriad of stars and depth of it.
The gradations of indigo have a truly delicate harmony with a spectrum of expressions from gentle softness to simple strength, in addition the white dots within the indigo aptly evoke a sense of stars in the night sky evoking an expanding universe.
