About the Artwork

Cape Hay bird sanctuary located on Bylot Island in Nunavut is home to
many thousands of migratory birds such as Kittiwakes and Brunnick’s
guillemots. I can still recall the screeching sound and ocean smells as our
zodiac approached the cliffs that they call home. I am pleased to be able to
share this experience with you.
