About the Artwork
"Adeline" is one of a series of paintings portraying 12-13 year old girls just as they are leaving that state of girlish innocence and before a more conscious "knowing".
In this liminal state they are "betwixt and between", they can be unpredictable and moody but also focused and powerful. I wish to show a variety of moments within this range.
