Dwarfed by the majesty of the surrounding Mt. Chephren and Howse Peak, this small grove of aspens, otherwise inconspicuously positioned along the shoreline of the Waterfowl Lake (Icefields Parkway), could easily be overlooked any other time of the year. But come late September, the humble aspens become impossible to ignore. Clad in autumn gold, they take center stage amid this Rocky Mountain grandeur and stand out in all their brilliance against the backdrop of the turquoise-green waters.
