This is a pair of blue crowned laughing thrushes which are threatened birds from the Jiangxi province in China. While pairs have been successfully bred in captivity, their numbers in the wild are critically low. Pairs of birds like these are getting rarer and rarer as humans activity and climate change affect their diminishing habitats. A visit to China informed me about these rare and beautiful birds.
