Not For Sale
I painted this piece from one of many photos I have taken of the Angel Glacier on Mt. Edith Cavell, in Jasper, Alberta. Over the years we have cross country skied and hiked in this area, and noticed how the glacier has continued to shrink. If you look on-line at historical photos of this glacier you can note the dramatic change in its size due to climate change. The title evokes the image of an angel taking flight, leaving earth and evaporating into the atmosphere.
