Living in a large metropolis, I always gravitate to places that remind me of my roots, which is farm living. As I get older, these roots become more solidified in my soul. It could be anywhere, like this painting, just somewhere that makes me take a deep breath but also keeps me connected to other people (hence the road)

Shirley's work hopefully demonstrates what she sees as gorgeous in this world and hopes that it inspires the viewer to look carefully at their surroundings as they navigate their day. She works in oil and has studied with many local artists.
"This is an important time in human kind to observe and protect their world. It is also a time to tone down the consumerism and tread lightly. I hope that my artwork inspires you to acknowledge the beauty around you."
