About the Artwork

Twilight IV is, in essence, a “ridged” painting, created by numerous uneven organic parallel-horizontal lap marks throughout the canvas. The pattern creates a 3-D like effect suggesting organic energy, flow and movement as she aims to blur the line between painting and sculpture, inviting touch. Twilight means "half-light" of morning or evening is a symbol of dichotomy, representing the dividing-line which at once joins and separates a pair of opposites.
