About the Artwork

Twilight means "half-light" of morning or evening is a symbol of dichotomy. This “ridged” multi-layered painting invites the viewer to come closer and observe and touch the ridges for a tactile encounter.

Twilight I was inspired by the shimmery quality of light on ripples of water during a colourful sunset. Using metallic foil, metallic paints and inks together with a limited palette, the aim is to awaken the viewer’s consciousness allowing them to experience the painting-perhaps sparking memories or freeing the mind to wander, imagine and dream. My artwork is aimed to capture ephemeral moments, suspended in light and texture.
