About the Artwork

I create evocative and purposely imperfect paintings inspired by the amazing colours of light reflecting on the water and have developed a personalized style that translates and interprets nature through highly textured, luminous and transparent layers created with manipulation of mediums. Several layers of opaque and translucent oil with natural pigments, sand and cold wax were used to create the unusual textures and to develop a 3-D effect, blurring the line between painting and sculpture and inviting the viewer to touch it.
