About the Artwork

My paintings are recollections of the seascapes and landscapes I experienced while living on the east and west coasts of Canada, Peru, and my travels abroad. I am compelled to do work that conjures up a sense of mystery and ethereal light. I am inspired by the beauty, and colours of the ocean; the ephemeral beauty of moody coastal skies during dawn-dusk, the aesthetic reflections in water, and the atmospheric colours and cloud shapes moving through the imagined atmosphere.
