About the Artwork
Dogs are used to restore confidence to children with reading difficulties and so the cute little jar with the dog lid that I found in a shop prompted this painting. Scrabble is a game icon invented in 1933! Junior editions are available and I used the Scrabble tiles to illustrate reading difficulties eg. letter reversals and to reinforce the important role the dogs play. My tattered, ragged, beloved childhood books also begged to be included.
