About the Artwork

This painting explores the sensation of stepping into a snow-covered mountain landscape at first light. I was drawn to the contrast between the warmth of the rising sun and the crisp, penetrating chill of the morning air. Through restrained color and shifting planes of light and shadow, I aimed to convey that quiet moment when the mountain feels vast, still, and intensely alive. The work focuses on atmosphere and temperature, capturing the fleeting breath of dawn across the peaks.
