About the Artwork
The water in this painting is moving slowly yet we can see its effect on the shoreline of this small creek. It has an energy that erodes and changes the land beside it and eventually it may change the direction of its flow through the landscape. Just as in our lives, some things - like the trees and rocks - are more constant than others. Water is an agent of change, yet in this painting's reflections it captures a moment where we the viewer, upon reflecting, may contemplate changes in our lives.
