About the Artwork
This painting was commisioned by a granddaughter for her beloved Nonna. Nonna was famous in the family for her production of multiple jars of tomato sauces that she gave away annually. I din't plan to use the colours of an Italian flag but
they certainly suited the theme. Layers of thin oil glazes developed the realism of this still-life.
