About the Artwork
Salmon are the brown bear's main source of calories during the summer when they need to put on as much weight as possible in order to survive throughout the winter. Protecting our wild salmon in turn helps to protect our bears. Bear scat, rich in nutrients from the salmon, in turn provides nutrients to the surrounding forests.
