About the Artwork
Inspired by the childhood riddle, "what is black and white and read all over". I thought, "why not a painting black, White and RED all over. Using negative and reductive painting techniques to bring forth the flowers. Collage and additional painting for the vase. Added detail where colours collide gives the appearance of fabric.
