About the Artwork
Newfoundland Screech is a Jamaican style rum popular in the province. Want to become an honorary Newfoundlander? You can get “Screeched-in.” This process involves a shot of Screech, kissing a cod and when asked "Are ye a screecher?" You answer: "'Deed I is, me ol' cock! And long may yer big jib draw!" Translated, it means "Yes I am, my old friend, and may your sails always catch wind." You even get a certificate! This bottle of Screech is on 140lb paper rather than on a bar shelf, and comes matted in a black frame.
