Inspired by the renaissance paintings of the saints with their impressionistic auras. The most interesting thing to me about this sculpture is that, since it is life size, when you put your hands on either side of her face and look into her eyes, you see your own reflection. The connection is eerie.

Bordering between expressionism and realism Copeman's work is also reflective of what is revealed in her dreams. Her work tends to be intuitive rather than conceptual.
