This portrait of Red Robinson was a work he and I agreed to do, but unfortunately, Red passed away before it was finished. I painted Red in a red-warm palette, creating a sense of harmony with the palette used. Red had a long and successful career as one of Canada's first Rock & Roll DJs, working in Vancouver BC. He not only knew, but was friends with all the original Rockers, from Buddy Holly, Elvis, Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, and many others, throughout the years. Rock Harmonies was his life and passion.

Initially starting out as a freelance illustrator n 1984, I've been a painter, both plein air and studio, since 1989. I'm an oil guys for the most part, but love acrylic, and have recently been working in watercolour. I've exhibited regularly in galleries since 1991.
"I love painting!"
