This painting was inspired by Rathtrevor Beach in Parksville. I was intrigued by the checkered pattern created in the shadow on the rustic fencing. This was my first painting created during our time of social isolation. I think this painting encourages the viewer to want to see and experience more. Even though leaving our homes isn't encouraged during this time of self isolation, why not do it through art!? I imagine myself following that path, going out and exploring the beach at low tide. Who knows what nautical treasures might await us out there!
