About the Artwork

I can see clearly,
forever, from on high. Low
is more entangled

Mon but se perd dans
distractions toujours présentes.
Prends la route du coeur.
Luke/Luc 8:14b

We can see our goal from on high more easily. Occasionally we get lost in the bushes. Red Canyon, Colorado Springs, USA.

Pendant ce voyage nous nous sommes échappés d’une inondation qui a emporté la route. Parfois c’est meilleur rester chez nous.

Karen Blanchet

Edmonton, Alberta

Karen attended Julian Ashton Art School before finishing an Honours French Degree from the University of New South Wales in Sydney, Australia and a Professional A Teaching Certificate from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada. In 2016 she helped organize the collective “Devenir”. Her work forms part of collections internationally.

"We live in a fractured world. This chaos is evident in my work. In between the rivulets of paint and the textural accidents I choose colours and forms to suggest a landscape where beauty continues to reign. She is essential to the survival of humanity."
