Western end of Garry Point Park in Steveston use to be a slough. Narrow slough contains the histories of the Scottish Canadian Cannery in the end of 1800 and the Atagi family boatworks in the early 20th century. Artist felt such narrow slough for historical perspectiveness.

My painting is original with the first impression, composition, light, colours, mood and passion.
"A painting is an illusion, so you are free to improve what you see through the channel of sentimentality. You are here to improve on what you see. Capture the mood, the feeling of place. You succumb to it to colour, to mood, to feeling. Capture the intangible."
