This painting attempts to capture the ever-changing beauty of the tidal sandstone on Tugboat Island, shaped over time by wind, water, and the rhythm of the ocean. The golden rock formations, smoothed by the tides, tell a quiet story of transformation and resilience.
In the distance, the Flat Top Islets rise from the shimmering sea, their presence grounding the composition while adding a sense of vastness and connection to the surrounding landscape. The bright summer sun bathes everything in vivid color and radiant light, intensifying the contrast between the deep blues of the water, the sun-bleached sandstone, and the lush greens of the coastal vegetation.
Through expressive brushwork and a rich color palette, I aimed to evoke the warmth of the day, the salty breeze, and the timeless pull of the tides. This place, where land meets sea, is both a moment of stillness and a continuous movement—an invitation to pause, breathe, and be present in the beauty of the natural world.
