About the Artwork

"Joie de vivre XXVI" is a colorful, joyful mixed media abstract painting created by award winning Canadian artist Johanne Brouillette. The series was started at the beginning of 2020 and the artist has never stopped her fascination with vibrant colors.and the paintings resonate with her collectors. The painting is created using very thin, colorful layers of glaze that ressemble stained glass. Multiple layers of paint, collage and graphite are used in an intuitive process that takes several weeks to complete. The end result is a complex painting that is bursting with bold energy and life. Varnished for protection. Sides are painted white on 1.5 inch thick gallery canvas. Signed on the front and back. Ready to hang vertically or horizontally. Certificate of authenticity included.
