The Miao(苗) people live in China, Vietnam, and Thailand. They are the seventh largest of the 55 ethnic minority groups officially recognized by Chinese government. Through history, Miao(苗) group has kept their own culture, language, beliefs, as well as their beauty pageant. Women of Miao(苗) ethnic group participated in clothing presentation and talent show during the pageant, which boasts a history of over 1,000 years.
