Standing taller than all the trees in the surrounding woods, imagine what this tree has experienced. What has it seen over the years, who passed by, what words were heard, what storms and seasons were endured? Let it stand, to cast its long shadows of influence over the land.
This work is entirely of brushwork using acrylic paint and media, celebrating the greens and blues of nature, as well as the light and shadow of our Canadian winters here in Northwestern Ontario.

Dryden, Ontario
The Canadian wild places are Jennifer Caie's subjects in painting. Her artwork is created as a direct result of time spent in Ontario's wilderness. She also finds a deep connection while hiking the Canadian coastal regions. “Really anything that reveals the effect of wind on the land."
