About the Artwork

This wind swept alpine slope. A multitude of tiny flowers and colorful sedums clamped to the ground. Encased in the winter under snow, dwarfed by the ceaseless wind and cold - they cling. Through all seasons. Tiny, ancient, gnarling trees, scribbled against the backdrop of rising rock on ripples of ice.
The distant rise like a a cresting wave, of ice and shale - poised - balanced. A shaded, frozen remnant of fierce winter gales and blowing snow. Above rise the monolithic stone spires and icefields of the Bugaboos.
