About the Artwork

LIVE Jurying #1. This massive granite dome looms over the town of Squamish and is an iconic landmark on the Sea to Sky highway. While exploring for Plein air locations one day I discovered the "Spit" across the tidal estauary and Squamish river flats. This location provided a whole new perspective on fabulous chunk of rock - with reflections and natural elements I had never seen before. I spent a magical afternoon painting on site - and it has inspired a whole series of new paintings in the studio.
