About the Artwork

The trail in to Nairn Falls, near Pemberton BC, is a narrow slice across a steep slope of rugged stone and forest. It follows along the bright glacial waters of the (aptly named) Green River as it tumbles along, with glimpses of the morning sun over towering snowy peaks. The final destination is well worth the walk. Nairn Fall crashes down in a white mist, to wind through a maze of vertical canyon walls. The constant mist creates a wonderland of moss that glows against the fractured walls of stone. I imagine the bony spars of dead trees above will
