About the Artwork
There was an eerie pastoral silence, almost spiritual, while sitting on a damp log early in the morning, overlooking Wichaninnish Island off the West Coast of Vancouver Island. I paint plein air because I need the atmosphere to fully appreciate my brush to paint on paper. Being in the moment is nature and artist working together.
