About the Artwork
This plein air painting concentrates on soft values to strengthen the idea of this composition. Sculptural tree forms and delicate brush against harder edges give substance. Autumn is like that; softly it falls in colours and textures. Painting 'en plein air' gives a special feeling to a painting like a breath blowing over the scene. Autumn is not always shouting. Sometimes it's mellow and moving.
