About the Artwork
What is it about poppies that make everyone smile? They seem to dance on hillsides or in gardens, emoting happiness. The simplicity of colour and movement took this painting to a joyous event for me while painting 'en plein air' watercolour with Chinese ink & brush. So lovely to see poppies come out in bloom!
