About the Artwork
A cool, still day to plein air paint from a small hillside, with the visibility of beautiful shapes of the islands against the light ocean. The paint brush dipped into the mixes of blue indigo and sienna, and a few touches of translucent yellow brought this painting home. The small long paper was perfect to capture this linear scene, and the angle of the island gives a sense of depth.
