This painting was inspired during my recent trip to Newfoundland. It was a very foggy morning and we drove to the closest lighthouse. Cool, damp and the fog horn was booming, not a common experience for someone from Ontario. I used a limited palette to portray the mist and a loose style to depict the lack of detail seen in the fog. I hope you can feel the isolation and hear the horn.
