Playa Conchas Chinas is a place where Puerto Vallarta softens and slows. Tucked just south of the city, it is a beach locals return to—families gathering under palms, fishermen watching the tide, children moving between rock pools and surf. I was drawn not only to the intimacy of the setting, but to the extraordinary range of blues in the water.
My intention was to capture both energy and calm—the pulse of the Pacific against ancient rock, and the quiet, everyday beauty of a beach shaped by those who know it best.
