This artwork captures a tranquil moment of a goose by a water's edge, surrounded by vibrant autumn foliage. The interplay between the goose's reflection in the water and the surrounding warm, earthy tones of the leaves creates a serene, natural setting that echoes the essence of fall. Inspired by a walk in the park after a rainstorm, I wanted to capture the simple joy and reflection I observed in that moment. The process was particularly unique as I started with an acrylic underpainting before layering in oils to bring out the richness of colors and details. What can be a more Canadian scene than a Canada goose surrounded by autumn coloured leaves?
