My childhood home was a little yellow heritage house that was one of the first houses built in Langley. It sat across the street from the old A&W drive-in restaurant and across from my first grade school Langley Central school on Fraser Highway. My house was built with square nails and had the original glass panes with tiny air bubbles. My memories of living there were very happy, and now that the old house no longer is on that location, I saw this home in Kentucky and it reminded me of our old yellow house in Langley. I’ve always loved yellow houses for that reason. They bring a sort of cheer.
