About the Artwork
Torn-Edge Relief. Chigiri E in Japanese means torn paper art. I use different papers including hand-cast and sometimes tint it with inks or acrylic paint. I then collage it into interesting shapes. As it forms I see, as in this piece, a rose. I then finish it.
