I imagine an angler finding fresh moss at the side of the stream to line their wicker creel with. Their catch was then placed into the basket and it was occasionally dipped into the cool water to keep the fish fresh till dinner time. Nowadays there are more modern ways to keep a catch fresh throughout the fishing day, but I think the creel symbolizes a simpler time of fly fishing a beautiful trout stream.

I strive to capture the light, colour and atmosphere whether I’m painting the landscape or unique still life arrangements. My goal with painting what moves me is to evoke an emotion in the viewer that has the ability to stir within them meaning, a memory or a feeling.
"The first experience I had with using pastel was in 2015 and it was love at first touch. The soft as butter feel as I moved the pastel across a surface and luscious colour of the pigment had me hooked on this wonderful medium!"
