Everything on the West Coast is touched in some way by the ocean; this piece aimed to play within that influence through subtle abstractions and exaggeration of form. I tried to capture the turbulent nature of the sea and have it reflected in the sky, the trees and the sand with just a hint of the crashing waves. The ocean created this landscape, I only painted it.
