After our move to North Vancouver from Saskatchewan we explored Lynn Valley a lot where we often find massive remnants of trees left over from fires. This one in particular was so huge you could stand in and not reach the top. As a trained designer I often think about how much we rely on nature to house us, clothes us, feed us, and ultimately keep us alive. I feel that having the city inside is representative of our need for nature but are taking it for granted and not doing enough to protect it.
