A beautiful horse chestnut tree grows along a path near my house and I visit it over the seasons to see it's amazing bloom and then it's seeds, which remind me of hedgehogs. I was attracted to the reflected light and the warm fall colours. I completed this piece using traditional botanical techniques - by colour matching the specimen and size to the original plant.
