About the Artwork

This artwork captures a quiet moment of respite, featuring a worker taking a well-earned break. Amidst the bustling city, the worker casually stands, possibly reflecting or simply resting, while the magnificent Berlin Cathedral looms in the background. Its grand baroque architecture stands in striking contrast to the ordinary, human moment of work unfolding in the foreground. The juxtaposition of the worker's temporary pause against the timeless grandeur of the cathedral evokes themes of work, rest, and the enduring nature of history and faith.
