About the Artwork
Some Lion prides seemed to "specialize" in preying on Buffalo. Not easy. Lions sometimes sustained fatal wounds. Any injury that stopped them from hunting would eventually be fatal, result of starvation. No one cares for a wounded Lion, it seems. Even in a National Park. "That's nature," the ranger says.
