Just yesterday, a neighbour commented on the accelerating decline of our world's social fabric. There may be much that we can learn from the small pockets of Amish farmers in eastern Canada and the US who continue to resolutely resist the acceleration of modern living. Their presence is a reminder that mankind is not obligated to jump on every social band wagon that comes along.
