About the Artwork

To Scratch an Itch; To satisfy a desire or need for something.
This momma bear was enjoying a field of dandelions in the sunshine with her two cubs in June of 2024. I spotted her while travelling through northern BC and Alberta, Canada. Her cubs decided to retreat to the bush. Being a momma bear, she obviously felt no need to retreat while I was watching her from a safe distance. She continued to lounge about, enjoying the beautiful sunny day while satisfying her desire to eat her dandelions.
